Yushien Garden is a 40,000m2 Japanese garden with a pond and a strolling style located on Daikonjima, the number one producer of peony seedlings in Japan. The first phase of construction began in 1970, and the garden has been developed into a miniature garden of Izumo Province, imitating the scenery of Izumo, such as the surface of Lake Shinji and the sacred Mt. Daisen.

More than 250 varieties of peonies can be seen in the garden, including the Peony House, where you can enjoy peonies all year round, which are said to be difficult to regulate.

During the Golden Week period, the garden hosts the Pond Peony, where 30,000 peonies float in the pond, and the Peony Garden Path, where both sides of the walkway are covered with peonies like a carpet.
And on the last day of Golden Week, the Yellow Garden Festival (Golden Pond Peony) is held, where all the Pond Peony peonies are changed to yellow peonies.
This is a major event that cannot be imitated anywhere else, and is unique to Japan's number one production area.

Also, from mid-October to late February, you can enjoy the winter peonies, which bloom beautifully while enduring the cold under frost-proof straw.
