Ikeda Lake Park
Lake Ikeda is the largest caldera lake in Kyushu, created by volcanic activity, with a circumference of 15km and a depth of 233cm. It is home to many large eels with a body length of about 2m and a chest circumference of 60cm, and is designated as a natural monument of Ibusuki City. It is also famous for being the home of the mysterious creature (UMA) "Issie". This is a spectacular flower spot in Kagoshima, where you can see Mt. Kaimon, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains and also known as Satsuma Fuji, through the flowers blooming on the lakeside. Flowers bloom in every season, but the "Nanoka Marathon", which is held in winter to coincide with the best viewing time, is an annual event in Ibusuki. If you have time in your schedule, I recommend stopping by the Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall in Minamikyushu City. If you look at Mt. Kaimon after visiting there, you will be able to appreciate the scenery from a different perspective than before.

| Recommend | The view of the rape blossoms blooming on the shores of the tranquil lake while overlooking Mt. Kaimon will warm you up during the cold winter. Ibusuki's specialty sand bath is also recommended. |
