Kakunodate Hinokinai River

400 Somei-yoshino cherry trees are planted along the Hinokinai River, which runs through Kakunodate Town in central Akita Prefecture, for a distance of 2km. They were planted in 1934 to commemorate the birth of the former Emperor.
